Soil and Mulch

We stock Cedar Grove Compost - the most popular compost available in the Puget Sound area. Compost is a premium amendment to your existing soil, or can be used as a ground cover instead of bark. Cedar Grove Compost is derived from "Green Waste", which is simply grass clippings, leaves, and other natural organic matter that is processed to a dark, rich, screened material.

An all natural soil conditioner manufactured by blending sawdust with Bio-solids (A byproduct of waste water treatment plants). GroCo is blended together and composted for over one year, during this time temperatures are recorded and the material is turned several times. Before sale the material is tested in compliance with Federal Code Of Regulations 40CFR-Part 503 and Washington State Department Of Ecology Regulations. Which includes Pathogens, Enteric viruses, and heavy metals. GroCo contains many micro and macro nutrients that northwest soils lack, but are required for healthy growth of plants.
